Sophie Solow is a compassionate wellness coach dedicated to helping women embrace their journey to emotional and physical well-being. Diagnosed with endometriosis in 2018, Sophie intimately understands the challenges of navigating both medical and emotional landscapes. Her own experience with feeling unheard and unseen in the healthcare system inspired her to shift her approach, leading her to pursue holistic coaching that integrates mental, emotional, and physical health. Sophie believes that women are the experts of their own bodies and deserves to feel empowered in advocating for their health and wellness.
Sophie’s academic foundation began at Loma Linda University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She then sought further education in nutrition, health, and wellness through Harvard Medical School to deepen her understanding of the connection between mental and physical health. Sophie’s initial work in traditional therapy, including her time at Providence Saint Joseph Hospital, focused on providing mental health support to patients in crisis. While this clinical work was incredibly rewarding, Sophie realized that traditional therapy often overlooked the whole person and failed to address the essential components of wellness that contribute to emotional health—things like self-care, nutrition, movement, and stress management.
This realization led Sophie to transition into holistic coaching, where she could create a safe, supportive space for women who, like herself, needed both emotional support and guidance in understanding their bodies. She combines her experience as a certified birth doula, sexual assault victim advocate, and domestic violence advocate with a trauma-informed, wellness-focused approach that nurtures resilience, self-empowerment, and personal growth.
Sophie’s coaching approach is built on empathy, kindness, and a deep respect for each person’s unique experience. She works with women to guide them in reconnecting with their bodies, understanding their health needs, and supporting their emotional and physical well-being in tandem. Her goal is to help women live their best lives by addressing all facets of their health, creating space for healing, and providing the tools to move forward with confidence and strength.
Outside of her coaching practice, Sophie finds peace and inspiration in nature through hiking and swimming and cherishes time spent with her two cats, Luna and Mimi.
